China WindPower Group Limited (“China WindPower” or the “Group”; stock code: 182), a specialist in wind power electricity generation, saw three more wind power plants began operation today. Together with Chang Tu Liao Neng Xie Xin Wind Power Company Limited (“Chang Tu”) which started operation in January 2007, the new plants have boosted the annual capacity to 340 million kWh. The wind power plant is located in Taipusiq, Inner Mongolia and its installed capacity of phase 1 is 49.5MW with an annual output capacity of 100 million kWh.
Located in Erlianhaote, Inner Mongolia, phase 1 of the project has an installed capacity of 21.0MW and annual output capacity of 40 million kWh.
Located in Zhenlai in Jilin, the installed capacity of phase 1 of this project is 49.5MW and its total annual output capacity is 100 million kWh.
The joint venture –Chang Tu – formed by the Group and Liaoning Energy Investment (Group) Company Limited, started operation on 1 January 2007. It is located in Changtu County, Liaoning Province and phase 1 of the plant has an installed capacity of 49.5MW and annual output capacity of 100 million kWh. The wind power plant, which has been operating smoothly, is a United Nation registered CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) project certifying its contribution to reduction of CO2 emission at 100,000 tonnes per annum.
